Knitting Projects That Look Hard (But Really Aren’t)
15 beginner-friendly patterns that look way more impressive than they actually are
[pictured: Easy Beaded Tote Knitting Pattern]
Lately I’ve been really into knitting projects that look difficult but are actually pretty simple once you get going.
Those are honestly my favorite kinds of patterns to make.
I don’t always want a huge complicated project. Sometimes I just want something cozy and relaxing to work on at night while watching TV — but I still want it to look really good when it’s finished.
A lot of these patterns have that vibe. They look detailed or impressive, but they’re actually very beginner-friendly.
There are flat knit plushies, cozy hats, simple sweaters, slippers, textured stitches… the kind of projects that make people say “you made that?!” even though they’re totally doable.
A few favorites from the roundup:
the flat knit cat plushie
men’s basketweave hat
the feather and fan baby hat
a really pretty beaded tote bag
If you’ve been wanting an easy project that still feels special, I think you’ll like this one.
